MVP

H&M sheer shirt, thrifted tank, Alexander Wang pants, F21 boots.

I wore this outfit to a birthday party on Friday night. It was one of my favorite outfits I've worn this year. Those A. Wang pants are so amazing! So comfortable (and very compliment-prone.) The sheer shirt was also a great find from H&M. Notice the all black in this outfit. It's the first time in a long time I've worn all black. I'm really feeling an all black palette right now and for fall.

More black, shoes, and vintage to come! I'm so behind on my blogging!

Chicago

1 & 2. Random shots of the city.
3. Green shirt to start the day...
4. My Aunt in a denim dress. She's so chic.
5. Amazing light bulb fixture at Urban Outfitters.
6. All of us in the park. I was trying so hard not to laugh at the gospel singing homeless guy yards away from us.
7. Girl in the hat... We thought was Julia Roberts.
8. Bruschetta from the Ralph Lauren cafe. Yup. He has a restaurant too.
9. ... White shirt to finish the day.
10. Odd building with one side of windows.
11. Outside Giordano's pizza, seriously the best pizza ever, wearing T by Alexander Wang boxer shorts/shorts.
12. Last day. Rainy day. View from window.

Found Our Lives Changed

Thrifted camel shirt, Cooperative cropped jeans, Deena & Ozzy espadrilles.

I've recently realized that I love blue jeans. I used to go days, weeks, even months without wearing blue jeans, but I love them now. I don't really care for designer jeans (like True Religions. I think that giant stitching is disgusting.) I usually just go to Buffalo Exchange or Urban Outfitters. Target also satisfies my jean cravings (cheap, comfy jeans at $20? SOLD!)

These Deena & Ozzy sandals are going to be amazing in the summertime. They're so comfortable. Deena & Ozzy makes some of the best shoes I have. Yay for Deena & Ozzy.

I'm also five days away from a short trip to Chicago I'm taking to see my favorite Aunt :) I can't wait!

Ode To The Jumpsuit

Photos from Vogue February 2009

My current favorite article of clothing: the jumpsuit. My male equivalent to the dress. The easiest thing to wear. I recently found a photo of myself around the age of 3 wearing a plaid jumpsuit... with my hands on my hips, no less. I guess some things just follow you throughout life.

Utility

Polo RL shirt, F21 cargos, vintage clutch, nameless sandals.

Today's outfit. It's really similar to the look I posted a few days ago. I'm sort of obsessed with this color combo, and I've been really into cargo pants lately. Weird. This week has been busy for me, it seems as though everyone's birthday is this week. So many birthday wishes!

More interesting looks to come!

Bloody Mary

Vintage jumpsuit, Charlotte Russe heels.

Looking a little more drag queen than usual. I found this jumpsuit at Goodwill not too long ago and automatically knew that it belonged in my closet. It's a size too small and everytime I sit down, I feel like it's gonna rip, but I still love it! And the shoes.. Almost carbon copies of Pierre Hardy heels.. I wore them for Halloween last year (I was Lady Gaga) and have kept them in my closet ever since. It seemed right to break them out for this jumpsuit. I don't wear much color, but I have always loved red. I like that it's a color that represents fearlessness. And I like the way it looks on me.

Shark In The Water

Thrifted scarf, Polo RL black long sleeve, H&M pants, vintage boots and clutch.

Friday night: Had the intention of going to the Downtown Fullerton Art Walk with Ali, decided it was a fail and left, went to Starbucks, In n Out, and ended up at Neiman Marcus Last Call and tried on fun stuff we couldn't afford. Decided to wear these amazing pants I got at H&M the other day (Love!) Decided to look classic/menswear-y overall.

YSL Tribute Too shoes. Had to try these on. Trust me- they are higher than they look! But that doesn't stop me from loving them!

Marni coat from Fall '09. Seriously, a knockout. Too fabulous for words.

Ali and I playing around in Downtown Fullerton as two middle-aged women looked on and smoked. I'd like to think they wanted their photos taken too.

I Know This World Is Changing

Thrifted chambray shirt, Target jeans (that I cut into shorts), Deena & Ozzy shoes, vintage clutch, F21 rings.

Well, it's official. Summer is here. I sort of spent the weekend in this outfit. Working two of my favorite trends here: Tonal color and denim on denim. I also love that I'm wearing shorts. I love shorts, and I love my legs (those skinny, hairy things!)
