At The Top Of Your Lungs

Vintage shirt, clutch, and boots. Target leggings. F21 sunglasses.

Snapped some photos with Ali today, wanted to show off my new boots (Got them today, 8 bucks!) and officially debut my new hair (or lack thereof) to you all. That fur tail on the bag- I got in some gift shop in Vegas years ago. Was inspired by Louis Vuitton and Rumi Neely to actually attach it to a bag.

I'm in love with not having any hair anymore. I was hating my bowl cut, it just wouldn't work with me. So... Away it went!

Today was really sunny but extremely windy. I'm really hoping we get some nice, warmer weather here in Cali soon! Summer is just around the corner!

Swallowed Your Words

Vintage sheer gauchos, Hanes underwear.

I found these amazing pants at Goodwill not too long ago, and even though I knew I was never going to wear them out, I had to buy them. They remind me of Issey Miyake's pleats and nineties Chanel.

Goes Well With My Nature

Thrifted scarf and shirt, H&M boyfriend jeans, Deena & Ozzy clogs.

Sorry, readers, for deserting you for, like, a week. I have been busy with life and school. I have also been very uninspired lately and not very motivated to blog. Hopefully that will change soon.

I wore this outfit about a week ago and I loved it. I have been wanting to debut these clogs I bought at UO for a while. Very comfortable and practical. Love them.

I've got a few vintage finds I've acquired lately that I cannot wait to show all of you!

I'll Be Bulletproof

F21 cardigan, vintage chambray shirt, Target leggings.

I bought this cardigan at Forever 21 yesterday and I'm obsessed with it. Love the color scheme, love the fringe at the bottom, love the hood! This will be the perfect bonfire sweater when summer rolls around.

Every Day And Night

Vintage Pierre Cardin shirt. F21 belt, jodhpurs, and boots.

I did it. I got my bowl cut. I have to say, I kind of hate it right now, but I know that in a few days, I will be crazy about it. That's how I am with my hair.

I've noticed that I've been, as Harper's Bazaar calls it, shopping my closet. I haven't been shopping in a while, nor have I wanted to go shopping in a while. I've been rediscovering some great pieces in my closet like this belt and pair of jodhpurs (not to mention the blazer and cargos in my last outfit post.) I'm kind of happy that I've been rewearing all these things. I have such great memories in all my clothes, and rewearing them just gives me the freedom to make new ones.

I've also noticed that I buy things based on other things they remind me of. This belt, for instace, I bought because it reminded me of Balenciaga S/S 08 crossed with Alaia. Those pants? Balenciaga F/W 07. When you're not born with a last name like Vanderbilt, you do like I do: buy good knockoffs.

P.S. This outfit was inspired by one of my favorite Vogue editorials ever. March 2010, "Military Issue" photographed by the master, Mario Testino.

Good Hair

All photos via Style.com.

I've been considering cutting my hair (that is currently an overgrown Rihannaesque-mohawk-thingy) into a fun, edgy, somewhat-bowl cut like Tao Okamoto's or Rayna Mordanova's (both shown here.) I think I would have a ton of fun playing around with it, and it would definitely bring some change into my life. This is kind of my bridge into a total buzz cut, which is what I want to eventually do. I've learned that I kind of hate grooming my hair everyday, and although this bowl cut will require some grooming, I know it won't be as bad as my current hair situation.

And maybe eventually, I'll condsider doing the bleached eyebrows a la Rayna Mordanova.

Grey Gardens

Norma Kamali blazer, F21 cargos and boots, H&M t-shirt, thrifted scarf.

The weatherman lies. Well, sort of. It was supposed to rain today. I woke up and it was sunny and happy, so instead of going with my cheap riding boots (my usual rain gear,) I wore my fave F21 booties. I got to school and, of course, it started raining. So I'm running around in this great outfit trying not to get soaked. I didn't thankfully, and it stopped raining after that. I'm happy the gray stayed around, though. It (oddly) always makes my day better.

Not Until It Shimmers Around Your Skull

Vintage Pierre Cardin shirt, Target leggings, F21 bag and shoes.

I've come to accept my own personal style as somewhat minimalistic. I rarely wear accessories like rings, bracelets and necklaces, and I usually don't wear much color or prints. I like simplicity, what can I say?

These photos were taken last night, I went to my friend Natalie's birthday party. The place where we were at had these cool light fixtures on the concrete walls outside, so my friend Anna and I snapped some cool, Visionaire-esque photos of eachother.

Two more days of spring break! Time to make those last call parties!

This Is My Temporary Home

H&M tee, Rogan for Target wide-leg jeans, Deena & Ozzy shoes.

Sorry for the lack of a post over the past few days. It's spring break for me and I'm a bit of a party monster. I can't help it.

I recently found these Rogan for Target jeans I bought, like, two years ago and decided to take them out on a spin again. I've seriously been living in this look for the past few days, it's just an all around easy outfit.

As for the title of this post, it's from that new Carrie Underwood song, "Temporary Home." Mind you, I am not a country fan, but I love Carrie and I love this song. I have to admit it's a tear-jerker, and I will admit that a tear (or two) came out the first time I heard it.

Here's to more spring break escapades, it's almost halfway over.
