Rei Kawakubo, you have done it again! I usually hate faux fur. Hate it. But I love the way it's done here. I like it because it looks really fake and kind of tacky. As always, I love Rei's utilitarian layers and dark, neutral color scheme (with the occasional burst of color.). I also love the shoes.

Repetition

I am, as Kate Sanders once called Lizzie Mcguire, an outfit repeater. This entire past weekend, I've been wearing my vintage Alexander Wang-esque bag, F21 utilitarian coat, leggings, and John Varvatos motorcycle boots.

The first three photos were at a bonfire Friday night. Crazy night.

That last photo: at Disneyland with Anna, on the phone with the Toon Town Police. Random, I know.

The only thing I changed between these outfits was different vintage sweaters and losing the scarf. Yes. Outfit repeater.

A Few Obsessions...

I can't seem to get these things out of my head.

Over-the-knee Givenchy cowboy boots from like three seasons ago. This photo is actually from one of my favorite blogs, Atlantis Home, by Judy Aldridge. She is so cute! Check out her blog: http://atlantishome.com/

Mary-Kate's Balenciaga ankle boots from Fall 06. Seriously, I think these were some of the best shoes ever made, ever. I have always been head-over-heels obsessed with them (no pun intended.) I tried on the knockoff Sam Edelman versions of these shoes at Neiman Marcus Last Call, and at $350, they are still beyond my unemployed college student budget. *sigh* One day.

Grace Jones's molded plastic bustier.

This is a vintage bag I got at Buffalo Exchange. I saw it and immediately had to have it. It kind of looks like an Alexander Wang bag to me, and I have a thing for studs. Plus, I'm totally loving the drawstring.

I'm doing outfits that are a little more grunge/rock n roll with this bag, and I just love it. Can't wait to wear it when school starts on Tuesday!

Here's an outfit I wore today for an interview. Faux Mongolian lamb vest from Forever 21, Club Monaco pinstripe shirt, H&M cropped pants (a recent purchase), Forever 21 ankle boots and vintage clutch.

I decided to keep the bottom half of the outfit to go out with Anna. The jacket was a Christmas present from her (loving the shoulders!), striped Isaac Mizrahi sweater, bag from Target, same H&M pants and F21 boots (folded down.)

Are you ready to jump?

I love this black silk jumpsuit of mine. It's vintage and it was seriously only $2. Ah-mazing. You can't really see the details of it (bad picture) but its got quite a bit of pockets. I wear this thing all the time, it's so reliable. Worn with sandals I got at some random store at Main Place. I had an interview today, and I wore this jumpsuit with a black cardigan, black vintage clutch (Anna's) and black vintage wingtips.
This jumpsuit is so much fun. It's so versatile and so easy to wear, and a definite day-to-night transition piece (although I have yet to wear it out at night.) I got it like a year ago, and I used it in a photoshoot (look in my archives. It's in the photoshoot I did with Elise.) Can't wait to wear more of it this year!

What I'm Loving Now

Celine's flat, minimalist leather. Actually, I'm loving Celine's entire spring collection. Welcome back, Phoebe Philo!

Denim on denim. I've been experimenting with this recently, and I'm excited to see it as a major trend for Spring.

Forward, March!

Happy 2010, everyone. Wow. What a year 2009 was. The year I started living. Well, I'm not going to dwell on the past too much, it's time to look forward to bigger and better things. 2010 will be a year of glamour, excess, and fearlessness. 2010 will be my year.

After I post this, I will be going to a party and getting wrecked. Here is what I'll be wearing.
