I hate being sick.

It's summer and I want to go out, but instead, I've been stuck in bed, slummin' it all week. I can barely even type right now!

Since I can't really do anything right now, I guess I'll just be dreaming about wearing these amazing pants I bought last week at Urban Outfitters that look a whole lot like these Chloe pants.



Oh, how I can't wait to wear them! And how I can't wait to not be sick!

Graduation Inspiration

TOMORROW IS GRADUATION.

Oh my god. My high school graduation. And I have no clue what to wear. It's still gloomy outside (Thank god. That means no afternoon heat!) which means I can do a longer sleeve, maybe even a cool jacket. I'm drawing inspiration from these looks:



YSL. Classic, dark, simple.





Balmain. I like the idea of wearing a jacket, something very 80's glam. It really shows off my personal style. I want a lot of black and texture.



Marc Jacobs. Maybe I could be daring and incorporate prints into the look? Color, perhaps? I don't know. I guess we'll just have to see tomorrow.

June Gloom

I live in Southern California. You'd think that at this time of the year, I'd be rockin some shorts, a v-neck, a light scarf, gladiator sandals, and sunglasses. Right now, I'm wearing black jeans, boots, a white v-neck (It's a year-round article of clothing to me, okay?) and a black double-breatsed cardigan from H&M. Basically, I'm wearing fall/winter clothes. It has been so damn cloudy outside for like the past three weeks, and as much as I love cold, gloomy weather, I want some sun! I want SUMMER! The solution? In between-season looks such as cardigans, light blazers, and tons of bold accessories.

I can't wait for fall! I can't wait to wear disco-inspired clothes at night! I'm obsessed with Gucci's Fall collection. Very disco, very glittery, very me.

La Vida Loca

This past week was one of the craziest, most enjoyable weeks of my senior year. First of all, I was chosen to be one of the two graduation speakers at, well, graduation! Twenty-one people tried out. And I made it. Awesome!
International assembly was also this week. (It's an assembly to show off the diversity of cultures at our school.) I decided to model for America (who better to represent the contry of diversity than me?) I put together the most pitch-perfect, classic, Ralph Lauren-esque ensemble and modeled it at the assembly ("modeling" in this post means walking across the gym.) This is what I wore.

Then, on Friday, I had Rebel Show to do. This was the big one. My last high school performance. Ever. I performed none other than Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" and from what I heard, I rocked it. I closed the show, and I made sure that it was the perfect ending to a good show. I wore something very Lady Gaga as well.



It was exactly what I wanted to wear for this performance, too. Notice the wig on my arm. I had to piece of Gaga somewhere! I was inspired by this:





Martin Margiela Spring '09

I ended up not winning any awards for it, but a few of the best teachers at my school gave me a standing ovation, so I was satisfied.

In terms of my style right now, I am playing with the Japanese avant-garde. I'm really pulling from Junya Watanabe's Fall '06 collection, as well as anything by Comme De Garcons. I think I'm going to stick with this look for Summer. At the moment, I'm wearing army-green jodhpurs, a white v-neck, and black patent oxfords.
