Yesterday I scored the bag of a lifetime.
It's so me. Black, leather, giant fringe, a little studded, all the elements I love in clothes. It's from Forever 21, and it was on sale for $10! I've actually wanted it for the longest time, but I never bought it, for some odd reason. Maybe because fringe has been out for the past few seasons. Oh well. Thank goodness it's a trend for Spring 2010. I just love the way the fringe hangs. It's so much longer and wilder than your average fringed bag.
Can't wait to wear this one out!

December!
It's finally cold in California! Every year, when it begins to rain and freeze, I find myself with nothing to wear. My go-to is all black, but I often feel a little uncomfortable when the sun is brightly shining. Downside to winter in California- It's still fucking sunny.
It rained a few days ago, and I'm waiting for more rain. I love when it rains! I wish I had a pair of Givenchy cowboy rain boots to slpash around in!
It's almost Christmas, and it's also almost New Years, Ali's birthday, and the end of the semester. It seems like December is the month of the party. Here is some of my current party look inspiration:
Good luck on finals!

Torch Magazine Photoshoot
About a month ago, I did a fashion photoshoot for Fullerton College's magazine, The Torch. I styled the looks and wrote an article about personal style to go along with it. It was such an accomplishment for me, as I hope to be doing that for a living someday. Here are some of my favorite photos. Enjoy!
Photographer: Kristen Graza (Krash Photography)
Models: Ashley Pellegrini, Bridgette Beverage, Valeri Velasquez
Clothing: American Vintage, my closet, Valeri's closet.
Location: Rooftop of the Starbucks/Kinko's building in Downtown Fullerton

I'm Back!!!! and RIP Daul Kim
It's been nearly 1 month since I have even logged in to post a blog entry. Wow. I've been so busy with life and school and job-hunting.... I've forgotten about my virtual style journal! Anyways, I'm back, and I hope I won't be on another unexpected hiatus until I am invited to stay with Nicolas Ghesquiere in Paris to collaborate on a Balenciaga collection. (Which probably won't happen anytime soon.)
In the near future, I wil have a long post containing nothing but photos and breif captions, because I haven't let you all see my Halloween photos OR my Chicago photos as of late.
Recently, the fashion world has been mourning the sudden death of model Daul Kim. She was a beautiful Korean model who was definitely on her way to top model-dom, and definitely a model breaking the racial barriers of the fashion world. I thought she was just stunning in every photo she took, as well as in her personal life- she had a wicked sense of style.
Her personal style
You will be missed, Daul.

Leggings Leggings Leggings!
As the weather in Southern California only seems to be getting hotter as the year ends, I've found a piece of clothing that allows coverage and a cool breeze: leggings.
So far, I've only worn leather (of course) leggings a few times to school and around town, but I've never expanded my legging collection beyond that (well, I have some gold and silver leggings from some shows I did in high school, but I never wear them out, so they don't count.) Today, I bought a pair of royal blue electric leggings (as I call them) from Forever 21 and a pair of faded blue denim jeggings (leggings that are like jean pants) from H&M. They were both cheap buys, and I can't wait to wear them.
My inspiration when it comes to leggings is Kanye West's girlfriend/muse, Amber Rose. I've been infatuated with her style lately. She dresses like an 80's new wave superhero everyday, which I think is so cool. Check her out!
Okay, so in that last photo, she's wearing a bodysuit, but still, she looks very strong, chic, and different. LOVE her.
Can't wait to show you all my future outfits that include intense leggigns!

Current Obsession
There's been so much going on in my life as of late. Last Friday, I did a fashion photoshoot for Fullerton College's magazine. We borrowed clothes from American Vintage, and the entire shoot was basically improvised throughout. We just made it up as we went along. The result was fantastic, and everyone was happy with the final product. I can't wait for the issue to come out (early December!)
Other than photoshoots, I've been busy with midterms, Chicago (photos to come soon,) and life in general. Ahh!!
On a different note, I find myself completely obsessed with Nina Ricci's fall 2009 collection, which is odd, beacuse I'm never really a fan of that label. But I love this season! Check it out.

But more than anything, I'm obsessed with the shoes!
They are just so weird, so dangerous-looking, and when worn, they give a sort or hoof-like silhouette. So amazing. I want a pair. That way, when people say "Why are you wearing heels?" I can say, "I'm not!"

Current Outfits And Paris Part II
On Monday night, I went thrift store shopping. I found these amazing black midcalf vintage boots.
Amazing, right? Well, I looked at the size (they are 10's in women's) and I thought 'oh yeah, I can wear those.' (I'm an 11 in women's.) When I buy sandals at Forever 21, they are 10's and they fit perfectly. But that's because they're open-toed. So I sat down and tried these boots on. My feet were a little jammed, but 'they're fine,' I thought.
The next day, I wore them to school. I'll just save you a lot of time and tell you that my feet hurt like hell. But it didn't stop there. I loved my outfit so much, I was willing to endure the pain for the entire day. After school, I went to Taco Tuesday and then to Downtown Disney. The boots hurt so bad, I was walking like I was pigeon-toed and crippled. FML.
The 80's redux outift I wore those dreaded boots with. (Black long sleeve shirt, H&M boyfriend jeans.) I'm at Forever 21 in this photo, not surprising, I know.
I wore this outfit yesterday. My sister's black cardigan (from Target, I believe), striped shirt from Forever 21, grey jeans from Steve And Barry's (when it was still open), and vintage black boots. This photo was taken by my friend Kristy, who is in Fashion Club with me. She is also the one who took the pictures of the window display. She's an amazing photographer, and she will be shooting the fashion spread I'm doing for Fullerton College's magazine, the Torch.
On to Paris.
Miu Miu
Louis Vuitton
Chloe
John Galliano
Chanel
And, of course.....
Alexander Mcqueen. He definitely did not disappoint. It went from reptilia to futurism. A fabulous metamorphosis-type thing. Amazing.
Check out the shoes!
Sick!
Speaking of "sick," I think I'm getting sick. I'll be in Chicago this weekend to hang out with my Aunt, and I hope that being sick doesn't interfere with having a good time!
