As the weather in Southern California only seems to be getting hotter as the year ends, I've found a piece of clothing that allows coverage and a cool breeze: leggings.
So far, I've only worn leather (of course) leggings a few times to school and around town, but I've never expanded my legging collection beyond that (well, I have some gold and silver leggings from some shows I did in high school, but I never wear them out, so they don't count.) Today, I bought a pair of royal blue electric leggings (as I call them) from Forever 21 and a pair of faded blue denim jeggings (leggings that are like jean pants) from H&M. They were both cheap buys, and I can't wait to wear them.
My inspiration when it comes to leggings is Kanye West's girlfriend/muse, Amber Rose. I've been infatuated with her style lately. She dresses like an 80's new wave superhero everyday, which I think is so cool. Check her out!
Okay, so in that last photo, she's wearing a bodysuit, but still, she looks very strong, chic, and different. LOVE her.
Can't wait to show you all my future outfits that include intense leggigns!

Current Obsession
There's been so much going on in my life as of late. Last Friday, I did a fashion photoshoot for Fullerton College's magazine. We borrowed clothes from American Vintage, and the entire shoot was basically improvised throughout. We just made it up as we went along. The result was fantastic, and everyone was happy with the final product. I can't wait for the issue to come out (early December!)
Other than photoshoots, I've been busy with midterms, Chicago (photos to come soon,) and life in general. Ahh!!
On a different note, I find myself completely obsessed with Nina Ricci's fall 2009 collection, which is odd, beacuse I'm never really a fan of that label. But I love this season! Check it out.

But more than anything, I'm obsessed with the shoes!
They are just so weird, so dangerous-looking, and when worn, they give a sort or hoof-like silhouette. So amazing. I want a pair. That way, when people say "Why are you wearing heels?" I can say, "I'm not!"

Current Outfits And Paris Part II
On Monday night, I went thrift store shopping. I found these amazing black midcalf vintage boots.
Amazing, right? Well, I looked at the size (they are 10's in women's) and I thought 'oh yeah, I can wear those.' (I'm an 11 in women's.) When I buy sandals at Forever 21, they are 10's and they fit perfectly. But that's because they're open-toed. So I sat down and tried these boots on. My feet were a little jammed, but 'they're fine,' I thought.
The next day, I wore them to school. I'll just save you a lot of time and tell you that my feet hurt like hell. But it didn't stop there. I loved my outfit so much, I was willing to endure the pain for the entire day. After school, I went to Taco Tuesday and then to Downtown Disney. The boots hurt so bad, I was walking like I was pigeon-toed and crippled. FML.
The 80's redux outift I wore those dreaded boots with. (Black long sleeve shirt, H&M boyfriend jeans.) I'm at Forever 21 in this photo, not surprising, I know.
I wore this outfit yesterday. My sister's black cardigan (from Target, I believe), striped shirt from Forever 21, grey jeans from Steve And Barry's (when it was still open), and vintage black boots. This photo was taken by my friend Kristy, who is in Fashion Club with me. She is also the one who took the pictures of the window display. She's an amazing photographer, and she will be shooting the fashion spread I'm doing for Fullerton College's magazine, the Torch.
On to Paris.
Miu Miu
Louis Vuitton
Chloe
John Galliano
Chanel
And, of course.....
Alexander Mcqueen. He definitely did not disappoint. It went from reptilia to futurism. A fabulous metamorphosis-type thing. Amazing.
Check out the shoes!
Sick!
Speaking of "sick," I think I'm getting sick. I'll be in Chicago this weekend to hang out with my Aunt, and I hope that being sick doesn't interfere with having a good time!

Fashion Club And Paris
This is the fabulous window display at Fullerton College that FJC Fashion Club decorated:
The black and white photos were my idea!
Me, adorning the blank walls with black and white photos. Wearing grey H&M t-shirt, green Balenciaga-esque pants, black gladiators. Shitty outfit day.
Bonding time!
I couldn't be happier with the end result! Great job, guys!
Now, on to Paris. Here are some of my current favorites from Paris Fashion Week:
Balenciaga. Always a fave!
Lanvin. Stunning.
Balmian. Christophe Decarnin can't seem to do wrong. This might be my favorite for spring. I would wear it all.
Yohji Yamamoto
Rick Owens
As usual, I can't wait to see what Alexander Mcqueen is going to do!

Lately....
At the moment, I am in the library of Fullerton College, waiting for Fashion Club to start. I am wearing a gray cardigan that is otherwise simple, despite the voluminous victorian shoulder. (It's what my friend Ali would call a "Twisted Staple.") I've featured this cardigan in an older post:
The cardigan
Today, I paired it with a black v-neck and dark blue jeans over black boots. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of the look, but I will show you what I was inspired by today. Take a look:
Fellow fabulous blogger Jane Aldridge! I love this kind-of gothic thing going on.
Guess who's gonna be on SNL this weekend?!?!
My boyfriend Ryan Reynolds (mmmmm!) and.......
Musical guest Lady Gaga!!! Apparently, she's debuting a new song! I can't wait to see what she's going to wear!
I'm going to die watching this episode. A delicious man and a fashion icon? There I go!
Anyways, later on today, I have to go to a party at a boutique in Downtown Fullerton and go to my English class at 6 (unfortunately.) Tomorrow I'm clubbin' it in Hollywood (hopefully) and Saturday I'm Long Beachin' it (again, hopefully.)
